At the age of 32, Brazilian footballer Roberto Firmino has become the pastor of an evangelical church, along with his wife Larissa Pereira. According to the player, they were both consecrated to the position at the Manah Church in Maceió, Brazil.
Roberto Firmino, who is also one of the founders of the church where he was consecrated, said that he and his wife had never aspired to the role and that it had never been the couple's goal to open a church or hold an ecclesiastical position.
"Three years of Manah Church. What a memorable and unforgettable evening. This church was born in the heart of God, and we are extremely grateful for the privilege of witnessing up close all that the Lord has done," described the athlete.
