Locals were shocked when they realized that the hands of the clock on one of the towers, located in the city center, had melted.

The heat is hitting Keynsham in England hard and has already caused damage. Local residents were shocked to realize that the hands of the clock on one of the towers in the town center had melted.

The clock tower in Keynsham was opened in 2015 and is only nine years old, reports Fox News. However, it now has a new look that doesn't go unnoticed, with one of the hands fully attached, while the other appears coiled and flexible.

Keynsham's clock is made up of three sides, with three different dials.

Residents have various theories as to what happened to the clock hands, but the one that seems to make the most sense is that the high temperatures melted the hands.

"We're aware of the problem and we're going to fix it," said a spokesperson for the municipality.
