The Russian attack killed the 43-year-old mother and her daughters, aged 21, 18 and seven, as well as three other people.

A mother and her three daughters, one of whom is just seven years old, are four of the seven victims of a Russian missile attack on the Ukrainian city of Lviv, about 70 kilometers from the Polish border.

On the Telegram platform, the mayor of Lviv, Andriy Sadovyi, published a photo of the family and revealed that “after today's attack, only the man survives”.

“His wife Yevgeniya and their three daughters - Yaryna, Daryna and Emilia - were killed in their own home,” he said, adding that ”in the center of Europe, Russia is exterminating entire families of Ukrainians.”

In another publication, the mayor added that Yevgenyia was 43 and her daughters, Yaryna, Daryna and Emilia, were 21, 18 and seven years old respectively.

Three other people died in the attack, aged 52, 54 and 55. A further 64 people were injured, including eight children.

Following the attack, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky called on the country's allies to take new measures to help the country defend itself against these attacks, allowing it to use its long-range weaponry to neutralize them at source, hitting military targets inside Russia.

On Tuesday, another Russian bombardment with two Iskander-M ballistic missiles hit the Military Communications Institute in the city of Poltava, in central Ukraine, and caused at least 51 deaths and 271 injuries
