Chinese e-commerce platforms such as Temu have gained increasing popularity among netizens and, according to the site The Information, Amazon is considering launching an alternative.
The publication claims to have access to inside information from Amazon that points to the launch of a new virtual store focused on 'low cost' products - with prices for jewelry and accessories, for example, not to exceed 8 dollars (7.42 euros ).
In addition to lower prices, this new Amazon store may also have longer wait times.
Bearing in mind Amazon's quick delivery strategy, there is little doubt that (if confirmed) this store will have a very different purpose from the tech giant's current platform.
