A 24-year-old man was arrested last Friday, accused of raping his 15-year-old ex-girlfriend in her own home in Madrid, Spain.
According to El Mundo, it was the victim's teacher who alerted the authorities after noticing bruises on her face and neck.
The Carabanchel Guardianship Service then went to the school and questioned the girl, who at first refused to denounce her ex-boyfriend. The minor eventually confessed that he had also made her take drugs during the relationship, which had just ended.
In accordance with the sexual assault protocol, an ambulance was called to the secondary school and the girl was taken to hospital for examination.
Immediately, the guardianship agents were mobilized to try to apprehend the alleged aggressor, based on the information provided by the minor. They were unable to locate him at his home, but around 8.30pm they identified him in an area of the Latina neighborhood that he used to frequent, according to statements from family members. The man was arrested on suspicion of sexual assault and inciting a minor to take drugs.
The detainee has no criminal record.
