Ukraine Shoots Down 41 Of 80 Russian Drones Launched Last Night

The Ukrainian Air Force shot down 41 of the 80 drones launched by the Russian Army in various regions on Saturday night, according to the daily report released today by the air branch of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.


In the report, the entity indicates that it lost track of another 32 unmanned vehicles, with one leaving Ukrainian airspace towards Belarus.


The drones - some of the 'Shahed' type (Iranian-made) and others unknown - were launched from the Russian regions of Oryol, Kursk and Primorsko-Akhtarsk.


The intercepted drones were shot down over the Ukrainian regions of Odessa, Mykolaiv, Kherson, Kyiv, Sumy, Kirovohrad, Cherkasy, Zhytomyr, Kmenytsky and Chernihiv, in the south, west, north, northeast and center of the country.


In Kyiv, fragments of a drone caused damage to a house and cars, causing a fire, while in the Cherkasy region the remains of an unmanned vehicle fell on the premises of a public infrastructure in the Uman area.
