Al Hilal, coached by Jorge Jesus, announced this Monday the termination of the contract with Brazilian international Neymar. The Brazilian was five months away from finalizing the current agreement with the Saudis and brought forward his departure from the Middle East.
"Al Hilal and Neymar have reached an agreement to terminate the contract by mutual consent. Thank you and good luck, Neymar," read the statement that the Saudi club left on social media.
This was the last step before Neymar returned to Brazil and could be announced as a reinforcement for Santos, the club where he was trained, and currently managed by the Portuguese Pedro Caixinha.
The Brazilian striker has been at Al Hilal since 2023. In the space of a season and a half, Neymar has played just seven games for the Saudis, scoring just one goal and two assists, largely due to the serious knee injury he suffered at the end of the year. 2023.
