The president of Venezuela announced "great changes" for the country and a Bolivarian "revolution within the revolution", which includes the consolidation of its own economic model, absolute peace and a new geopolitics.
"What is missing and what is coming, because we are entering a phase of great changes and transformations (...) we will make the plan of seven simultaneous transformations (7T), the great revolution of the 7T, the revolution within the revolution, for the changes that the people need to build", said the leader on Tuesday.
Nicolás Maduro was speaking in Caracas at the end of a march of supporters marking the 33rd anniversary of the failed coup attempt of February 4, 1992, led by Hugo Chávez against then-President Carlos Andrés Pérez.
He explained that in the "revolution of the seven transformations" it is necessary to create a unique economic model, for generating wealth, so that the country does not depend on anyone and produces everything it needs.
Then, a "revolution of human cities and the construction of stable and powerful public services, free from sabotage", which includes the construction of three million houses, must be carried out.
It is also necessary to "consolidate the state of security, of absolute peace", in addition to a "great social transformation to build a state of well-being, social security, social happiness and to recover, one by one, the rights lost with sanctions and economic warfare".
"Recover all the rights lost by the sanctions missiles demanded by fascism," he stressed.
Maduro also said that he wants to "turn the political system around", building a "popular democracy, a direct democracy, with a conscious, educated, instructed and capable people".
He also spoke about the construction of a new global geopolitics and a multipolar world.
