Catalonia Court Acquits Dani Alves of Sexual Assault Charges

This Friday, the Catalan Court of Justice acquitted Dani Alves of the crime of sexual assault for which he was sentenced to four and a half years in prison by the Barcelona Court, reveals the Spanish press.

According to Cadena SER, the jury of one man and three women considered that the alleged victim’s testimony was not sufficient to uphold the conviction and that the right to the presumption of innocence prevailed in this case.

It should be noted that the Barcelona Court found Dani Alves guilty on the same testimony of the woman with whom the ex-Barcelona player allegedly had sexual relations without consent on December 30, 2022.

Dani Alves, it should be remembered, was imprisoned for more than a year and a half, but was eventually released on parole after paying bail of one million euros.
