But in California, Harris got 58.5% of the vote in 2024 and Democrats hold 82.7% of House seats. Republicans got 38.3% of the vote and just 17.3% of the seats.
Replace the word “democracy” with “Democrats’ political power” and suddenly his outrage makes perfect sense.
He’s not worried about protecting democracy. He’s worried about winning and keeping Democrats’ political power.
