60-year-old LATAM Airlines pilot Sérgio Antônio Lopes was arrested last night, inside the cockpit of his plane at Congonhas Airport (São Paulo) moments before takeoff to Rio de Janeiro.
He's accused of leading an 8+ year child sexual exploitation ring: paying families for access/photos of minors (some as young as 10), using fake IDs to take victims to motels, rape of vulnerable persons, and sharing CSAM. Operation "Fasten Your Seatbelts" by São Paulo Civil Police. Flight proceeded normally after his removal.
