The fact that Apple has approved the Epic Games Store for iOS systems led us to believe that the problems between the two companies were over. In fact, it seems that the 'clash' between the two technology companies has everything it takes to continue.
Epic Games complained at the end of last week that Apple was delaying the approval of its online store, with the Cupertino company explaining that the situation was due to the similarities between the Epic Games Store buttons and the App Store.
Under pressure, Apple decided to approve the store on the condition that Epic Games corrected the design of these buttons.
Epic Games doesn't seem to have been satisfied, with CEO Tim Sweeney sharing a post on the social network X in which he says that the story has "taken a turn for the absurd".
"Apple is now telling journalists that this approval is temporary that they are requiring us to change the buttons in the next version - which would make our store less 'standard' and harder to use," Sweeney wrote. "We're going to fight this."
Given these recent developments, it seems clear that this conflict between Apple and Epic Games will continue over the coming days and perhaps even weeks.
