A video shows the moment a diver had an encounter with a blue whale. The images were captured on Friday in the Maldives.
The author is Rizkhan Mohamed, from the company Shadow Palm Tours, according to a share made by Storyful. "Witnessing this blue whale was the pinnacle of our adventures," said the company in a post on Instagram, where it released the video.
The company also said that swimming alongside the whale "filled them with awe and joy". "Our hearts are filled with gratitude for the ocean and the unforgettable moments it gives us," they wrote.
On social media, the images were praised. "An incredible experience. Was he snorkeling?" wrote one user. "Unforgettable", "wowww that's beautiful" or "wow, I wish it was me", are some of the comments that can be found on the video's publication.
