Neil Gaiman, author of works such as Sandman and Beautiful Omens, was accused of sexual assault by two women. The information is from Tortoise.

According to the portal, Gaiman had a consensual relationship with both women and is the target of investigation in New Zealand. Gaiman's position is that he vehemently denies any allegations of non-consensual sex with the alleged victims and adds that the New Zealand police did not accept his offer of assistance regarding a woman's complaint made in 2022, which, according to the author, indicates lack of argument for the accusations.

Authorities, however, say they have made “a number of attempts to speak to key individuals as part of this investigation and those efforts continue,” adding that there are “a number of factors to be taken into consideration in this case, including the location of all the parts".

Scarlett, 23, alleges that Gaiman sexually assaulted her just hours after their first meeting, in February 2022, in a bathroom at his residence in New Zealand, where she worked as his son's nanny. In Gaiman's version, the author says that they just “huddled” and “made out” in the bath, and that he had established consent for this. His position is that during the three-week sexual relationship that followed, they only engaged in consensual penetration.

The second woman, K, was 18 when she met Gaiman at a book signing in Sarasota, USA, in 2003. She began a romantic relationship with him when she turned 20, while Gaiman was in his early 40s, but claims that she subjected himself to violent and painful sex that he “didn’t want or like.”
