The woman believed she was the victim of fraud, as her pension checks were being withheld due to non-payment of fines and taxes. He ended up discovering that it was his two grandchildren who were using his identity and bank account details, according to Spanish television Telecinco.

The two grandchildren used their grandmother's name on cars and other vehicles without her consent. Even when they started receiving traffic fines or when it came time to pay road taxes, they didn't tell them what was happening.

It was through the complaint that the woman presented to the police that agents from the economic and tax crimes unit discovered that the woman had at least five cars in her name and that those responsible were her own grandchildren.

According to the Spanish newspaper, the debts were several hundred euros.

The grandchildren, two brothers, were arrested and brought to justice. They were released under precautionary measures and are accused of identification theft and fraud.
