The company responsible for Roomba vacuum cleaners, iRobot, is going ahead with redundancies.
This is what TechCrunch says, which claims to have had access to documents submitted to the US Securities and Exchange Commission. According to these documents, iRobot's decision will affect 105 workers - 16% of the total number of employees.
“These measures, while challenging, have fundamentally changed the way we work with our partners to efficiently develop and build our robots,” said CEO Gary Cohen in the most recent results presentation, where the layoffs were confirmed.
