The social network will give content creators more ways to test their videos with an unfamiliar audience.

Instagram will give the platform's content creators new ways to reach people who don't already follow their pages. It’s called “trial Reels” and it allows these creators to share videos so that they can be presented to other people who are not yet followers.

Meta explains in a blog post that the feature was created for content creators to test new video genres, seeking to understand whether a change has the potential to work with a wider audience.

Note that Reels videos shared in this way will not appear in the traditional profile grid and will only be recommended to non-followers. After 24 hours of publication, content creators will be presented with some metrics that allow them to know whether or not the new format was successful.
