France is facing a worrying wave of flu that has increased the number of patients seeking treatment in hospitals and forced many of them to activate an emergency plan.
The Health Ministry announced on Friday that 87 French hospitals have activated the “white plan” in response to a flu epidemic.
This plan is a system that allows operations to be cancelled or staff on leave to return to work, the Health Ministry told AFP on Friday.
The measure comes at a time when hospital admissions are increasing and the whole of mainland France has entered a state of epidemic, reports BFMTV.
