It is believed that the company will announce this year a new home speaker equipped with a display, which will help control various home devices.
If you usually follow Apple's launches with interest and can't wait to see the 2025 iPhone, it seems that there is another product that will be revealed by the company in which you should place more hopes.
This is what Bloomberg journalist Mark Gurman says, and in the latest edition of his Power On newsletter, he states that Apple is about to show a more interesting product. The product in question has already been the subject of rumors and concerns a new generation of the HomePod home speaker equipped with a screen, which will be used to more easily control other home products connected to the Internet.
“I still consider it Apple’s most significant launch of the year because it’s the first step toward a bigger role in the smart home,” Gurman notes, indicating that it will help Apple product owners gain Google-like control over Siri. Assistant and Amazon Alexa.
According to Gurman, this device will be “a smaller, cheaper iPad” that will help “control home appliances, conduct FaceTime conversations, and handle other tasks.”
As for the official announcement of this new product, it is believed that it will be shown closer to the end of the year - at the (traditional) September event where Apple shows new products.
