Netflix's 'Carry-On' is one of the service's big releases at the end of 2024 and continues to be one of the most-watched content even at the beginning of this year. Given this, it's not exactly a surprise that there is interest in a sequel.
In an interview with Variety, director Jaume Collet-Serra said he was 'open' to this possibility.
"We don't have any plans for a sequel. But if the audience and families wanted it and we had an idea that was on par with the original, maybe we would do something. But at the moment there are no plans", said the Spanish director.
'Carry-On' was released on Netflix on December 13 and has spent the last four weeks among Netflix's most-watched content. It is currently the most-watched film on Netflix not only worldwide but also in Portugal.
