Several internet users pointed out similarities between the two presidential portraits of Trump and the photographs of Seong Gi-hun from the Netflix series.
The official portrait of the next US president, Donald Trump, was unveiled this Thursday, January 16, and, even though it is a (relatively) normal photograph, the internet was not forgiving and began making comparisons joking about the similarities between this portrait and the photo of his arrest in August 2023.
Internet users also compared the new portrait with the one from his first term in office taken in 2017 and many could not help but notice the more serious expression on the new version. So much so that some internet users pointed out similarities between these two portraits of Trump and the two photographs of the protagonist of the series ‘Squid Game’.
Like Trump, the photograph of Seong Gi-hun (played by actor Lee Jung-jae) in the first season of the series shows a smile, but in the second, the character appears with a more serious face.
