The Android Authority website is reporting that Google intends to launch the next version of Android TV in two years' time.
The publication says that Google has decided to update the operating system every two years, a decision made because consumers don't buy TVs often enough to justify releasing new major updates every year.
That said, it's likely that the next version of Android TV will be released in mid-2026 and will be based on Android 16.
