Despite having arrived at the International Space Station relatively recently, astronaut Don Pettit is already one of the most prolific astronauts when it comes to photographs captured from this structure.

The most recent images shared by Pettit were shared on the respective page on the social network X (formerly Twitter), where they show a surrealistic appearance that clouds in the atmosphere can have according to the right conditions.

“Living in the Twilight Zone. Our orbit on the International Space Station is now aligned with Earth's day and night shadow, so we see neither a full day nor a full night. This is the best time to photograph clouds with low-angle lighting”, explains Pettit in the publication.
